Early in November, we had the chance to vacation on Sanibel island with the Zenz family and it was an amazing vacation. I started out visiting Sanibel when I was just a little younger than Finley and we'd been back many times until Grandma and Grandpa Zenz bought their house out west.
It was so good to be back on the island and to introduce Finley to the beach!
We didn't even have a swimsuit or sandals to fit Finley, but Grandpa made a lone Target run and came out with a cute suit and pink sandals - perfect!
Pat's best sun protection strategy: buried in the sand! Finley loved the sand and the first thing she did was dump it on top of her head. We learned real quick that a hat was necessary any time she was out on the beach.
We had happy hour drinks at the Mucky Duck on Captiva. Here we are saying cheese - which Finley has recently learned how to do and most of the time look at the camera : )

waiting for her prince to appear?!
We visited the Sanibel lighthouse one morning and Finley got to dig out even more shells.
She loved the bike trailer - wish we'd gotten ours down from the attic this past summer - oh well!
Finley played hard and slept even harder - this made for a great vacation for mom and dad!
Finley's most favorite activity was jumping off the pool deck into dad's arms - she probably did it over 100 times.
PB & J out on the lanai - we could get used to this!
The "fall-back" time change worked in our favor with the time zone change so we stayed on a normal schedule all week - which also meant that we got to see the early sunsets!
It was a great vacation and we came back with a little sun on our faces and extra relaxed!
