Finley at 95 weeks

I only know the number of weeks because we still get weekly emails...
multi-tasking!

Finley is changing rapidly it seems.  The other night Pat said to me "when did she become a such a little person instead of a baby?"  I don't know but we're loving it!

She is talking up a storm - nothing new for her but now I can actually understand her sentences about 75% of the time.  Some of my favorite phrases are:
I want it...(pointing to whatever she wants)
No I'm not (when asked if she's all done eating)
I'm jumping!
She burped out loud at dinner tonight and yelled "I got a burp".  I was high fiving her after this one - so cute.
I love you mama/papa
She calls diapers "bipers" and horseys "worshies"
Mickey Mouse was always called "MickeyS", but recently she changed this to "Mickey House".

My least favorite:
Trick or treat - which she is still saying at least once a day when she wants candy.

She occasionally calls me Kristin and thinks its really funny.  She must have heard Pat call me that.
She will also call me "Mom!" in this annoyed teenager voice.  Cracks me up everytime and its usually when I'm sitting right next to her and she wants my attention.

The other day I gave her milk in a St. Patrick's day cup and she kept pointing at the Leprechaun saying "Monkey, monkey".  Pat was ovbiously offended : )

Finley is running and jumping like crazy and has only recently jumped off of the couch at daycare onto a play shopping cart resulting in a small shiner.  Renee, daycare provider, was so embarrased that Finley was jumping on the couch and I of course was embarrased to tell her that its a normal occurance at our house.

Finley can count to 11.  She repeatedly counted to 10 when jumping off the edge of the pool last week on our vacation.  We didn't even know she could do it - but it was cool!

She is a better eater, still not a fabulous one, but she will actually eat chicken now.  Score.  Her current favorite foods are cereal (in a bowl with milk and all and she drinks the milk when she's done), yogurt, pb&J, and chicken.  Oh, and anything sweet.

She is sleeping well, 7-7 usually so its easy to tell when she's sick because she wakes up every few hours

She is so into playing pretend with all of her animals or baby dolls.  She is frequently feeding them play food or changing their diapers, wiping their faces, or putting them to bed.

She is getting better at using her words when she's frustrated, but she is quick to swat at you when she's frustrated.  Drives me crazy, but it is getting better.

Finley still has her coveted pacifier.  It has saved me a lot lately, but I know it needs to go.  Especially when she can ask for it.  Soon and very soon.

No interest in the potty - none.  We have started a book about it though - "Princess of the Potty".

And, she's almost two...in the blink of an eye.
