Labor Day weekend, Pat was out of town, so the girls and I packed up the mini-van to spend the weekend up on the north shore with my parents.
To break up the drive, we met at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth. The weather was amazing all weekend and about as warm as I can remember in Duluth.
The aquarium itself was really cool and had a lot of exhibits tailored to pre-schoolers. The fish were pretty awesome, too.
Fiona's favorite part was floating her tug boats through the modeled to scale great lakes locks.
Finley liked the volcanos
Up at the cabin, Lake Superior was feeling relatively warm - enough so that the girls could wade in the shallow pools and chase the waves.
We did a lot of rock painting :)
Gooseberry was beautiful, as always.
It's required to take a picture in the Cove Point adirondack!
