Ok, so we missed 3 months...it was a busy summer and Fiona had a long lasting cold. Oh, and it's almost 5 months...hmm, yep, we're still busy!
Fifi is 4.5 months old and keeps getting cuter every time I look at her. Her balding has ceased and new hair is actually growing in which has done wonders for her little toupee. It kind of blends in now!
The last month she has started to chatter to herself: coos and giggles and as of late - the gasping for air sound that used to scare the heck out of me when Fin did it. Most of the time I think she's just trying to get a word in over Finley (who for the record, does.not.stop talking.ever)
She is drooling a lot, but no signs of teeth (Fin got a tooth at 4.5 months...). She loves to have her hand in her mouth.
And her thumb - where shall I begin the love story. She is obsessed. I think we've actually switched the direct deposit from her college fund to the braces fund. It's magical. When she's tired, she just pops that thing in and falls asleep. Daycare says she's never seen anything like it : )
Speaking of sleep, she's still a champ. Or an Angel! She goes to bed about 6:30ish and sleeps until 6:30ish. And as of 3 months, she sleeps solely on her tummy. She used to roll onto it, but now I just lay her down that way and sometimes she is asleep before I leave the room. She doesn't even like to be rocked or cuddled before bed. Just give her the thumb and her tummy and she's out. Pat and I sometimes fight over who gets to put her to bed because its so much easier than a certain toddler : )
Naps are a little more unpredictable, but she usually sleeps 3-5 hours/day in 2-3 stretches. I can't complain here.
She is eating every 3.5-4 hours, about 6 ounces each time and is mostly having formula. I'm phasing out pumping in the next few weeks and it feels fantastic.
Fiona will probably start oatmeal or cereal around 5.5 months.
She no longer detests the car, probably because she's not in it a lot anymore. And she gets to listen to her sister take charge of the radio stations and give directions to the driver!
She out of all 0-3 month clothes and is wearing some 3-6 and a few 6-12 with the waist band rolled down.
She loves Finley and thinks she is so funny. Finley has perfected popping up and saying "boo" which cracks Fiona up. The other day Finley was sitting on the potty for #2 and I said something and followed it with "isn't that funny" and Finley whined "noooooooo, mom, it's not funny" to which Fiona immediately busted out laughing. It was great.
As Finley would say, "she's a pretty baby. I was a pretty baby" Indeed!
