Did this fall fly by or was that just for our family?? I still feel like it should be fall, but alas there is 6 inches of snow outside, tree decorating going on, and holiday shopping to be done. We spent the majority of our fall with one or both girls fighting off a multitude of viruses, too many trips to the doctor's office, and lots of nights with little girls sleeping in our bed. Thankfully, none of it was very serious and it has given us a new appreciation for our usually healthy kids.
Other than that, we had all members of the Morgan family visit at one time or another which was awesome. At times we go months without seeing Pat's side of the family, but then we get lucky in some seasons and it's mere weeks between visits.
In absolutely no particular order, here are snapshots of our fall. iPhone only since I misplaced my camera cord : )
Naps on dad during Bears vs Vikings game
Finley requested to chop off her hair to shoulder length. It was time! This is the before.
Grandma took us to Waldoch farms for pumpkins and mums while Dad and Grandpa played golf.
We decorated the front porch!
We celebrated Pat's 31st birthday with a cake I'd been brainstorming for him - devil's food cake with peanut butter buttercream and reece's on top. Delish!
The cousins came up for the TC marathon weekend - during which it rained like 90% of the weekend, but we went to the pumpkin patch anyways. Here are their silly faces : )
Watching the marathon with my girl. She was slightly upset that he didn't "win" the race. He just needs to shave off an hour and a half or so!
The kids did great between mile markers - taking turns trying to push Finley as fast as possible. After a quick stop for hot cocoa at Caribou, we left this lovely stroller out front and didn't realize it until much later.
Our fall ECFE class is centered around "get out the door and explore" and has been really great for both mom and the girls.
Finley, who was previously afraid of all bugs, caught a caterpillar!
We made a weekend trip back to Milwaukee to stay at our dear friends home. It's the first time I'd been back on campus in a few years and we couldn't resist an expensive stop at the Golden Eagle. I look a little different with 2 kids hanging off me!!
More ECFE. This sensory bin with rotating materials is worth the money for the class alone. The girls make a huge mess and then we just get to leave and go home - NO clean-up!!
Finley finished up fall soccer. Her "coach" was so awesome and she loved going every week. We can't wait for the spring session.
We visited a new-to-us orchard in Delano, which is really close to Michelle's new house. It was no Pine Tree, but it did have awesome kids activities and a great apple cafe.
Speaking of Pine Tree, we must eat doughnuts and drink cider as soon as we get there!
I already miss afternoons at the park to cure the post-nap time crabbiness.
Bryan and Michelle had a great housewarming party to show us all their new digs - and all of the hard work they've put into it. Isn't it a beautiful house?!
Finley is enamored with pre-school and her classmates (another post needed to fully document how great Primrose is), but one thing we weren't aware of was that most kids invite the whole class to their birthday. Finley has been invited to no-less than 4 consecutive birthday parties at Pump It Up. It provides a great weekend outing for us, but it's stressed me out a little bit to think of what we're going to do with 20 4 year olds come January!
This is her sliding down head first on her belly.
Nini and Joe also visited us - probably because we promised to take them back to the brunch at the Tavern (best brunch in town...). Go Bears!!
And lastly, as the weather got colder, we still made it outside at class. Cinnamon play-doh is a favorite with my girls. One likes to play with it, the other likes to eat it!
