Two weeks before Christmas, our neighbors hosted a holiday party during which a Santa they won at a silent auction was set to come surprise the kids. This was the perfect age for Finley to meet Santa and it was in such a fun, familiar atmosphere.
The party was fabulous. Our neighbors totally outdid themselves!
The food and drinks were like a Pinterest catalog :)
We all had to pick alter ego's for the night. Pat was The Grinch, even though there was nothing grinchy about him!
The kids did crafts and all made reindeer hats with their names so Santa could "recognize them"!
Patiently waiting for something to happen - not having a clue who would be walking in soon...
Here he is - the kids were in awe!
Santa had memorized facts about each of the kids. Finley was a little bit shy on his lap, but standing in front of him she couldn't get enough of answering his questions.
Pure happiness! For the record, Fiona did attend the party briefly and then fell asleep for the remainder of the night sleeping on a blanket (on the floor) in their guest room. Amazing baby status continues.
Santa brought gifts!!
And that's a wrap ;) For the record, this was at like 8:30pm. While there were a number of things about this party that were awesome, having to only walk across the street to get home and being in bed by 10pm were up there on the list.
We can't wait until next year.
