While we were in California, my dad had the brilliant idea to drive to Disneyland for the day. It was a great introduction to Disney and so worth the trip. That morning we were on the road early for the 2 hour trip west to Anaheim.
Finley was amazing. We had no crying or tantrums. She was simply in awe of all that it had to offer.
Here she is in Mickey's Toon Town - one of her favorite areas with scenes from the shows she watches on the Disney channel. She also went on a fast roller coaster with Papa - but no pictures (it was over before I got the camera out!)
We didn't realize it until we were on the shuttle bus to the park that they had just decorated for Christmas the day before. Walking into the park on Main Street with the big tree and all of the decorations was so magical. I love love love Disney and have an even greater love for Christmas, so when these two worlds collided it was so cool.
Our boat on the jungle cruise had a heart carved into the side: {Pat}!!
Up in the treehouse
She loved the Dumbo ride and was a little bit scared on Pirate's of the Carribean.
She took a nice 1.5 hour nap while Papa and Moosh went on Space Mountain
She didn't quite know what to think of meeting Rapunzel and Flynn
But she loved meeting Mickey and even more so meeting Minnie. If you ask her, that was her favorite thing of the whole day! And the last thing we did on our way out of the park.
It's a Small World sang Deck the Halls which was slightly less annoying than the original song.
Even the castle was covered in snow
She loved this Tinkerbell light up spinner - waiting for the parade
The parade music started and she asked "can I dance in the street!!!!"
The parade was so great - all of us were in awe and so glad we stayed for it.
Goofy!
Cinderella
Grandpa drove through crazy LA traffic to get us home at 9:30pm (11:30 central time) and the rest of us fell asleep in the car. We can't wait to go back!
