Miss Smiley is 2 months old (well actually closer to 3 by the time I am posting this!)
2 month stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 7 oz (50%ile)
Height: 23.5 in (80%ile)
Head: 16 (75%ile)
She is still a great sleeper, though most of it occurs at night. Which, to be honest is when it should occur but I do miss the long naps she took that first month :) It allowed me to catch a nap pretty often with her! She naps anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours depending on the day and seems that if she takes one long nap, she will usually take another long one later in the day and if she doesn't nap well it stays that way all day. She's been going to be between 6:30 and 7:30 and usually sleeps until about 5 or 5:30. I'm hoping she will gradually stretch her sleep to 6:30pm-6am, but I'm content now where it's at. Even if she does wake up at night, I can usually just rock her back to sleep without feeding her.
Oh, and she's been in her crib since about 7 weeks.
Dare I say that I'm getting about as much sleep as I was before I got pregnant. She is a miracle baby!
I should also add that I'm positive she will resume night wakings when I go back to work...just because!
She is eating every 4 hours - nursing for 3 of these and taking a pumped bottle before bed so I know she's getting enough to make it through the night. She's on a number 2 flow bottle because evidently being the second child doesn't allow for the rest of the family to spend 45 mins waiting for her to finish : )
She is starting to drool a lot.
She responds to faces with more smiles now, especially those with sunglasses and she will outright laugh when kids are goofing around, lately.
She is actually showing some interest in her big sister lately and when she is starting to fuss I can ask Finley to cheer her up and it actually works some of the time.
She's making cooing sounds which are so cute.
Her skin is still sensitive, but most baby acne is gone. She has a little cradle cap, but not bad.
Since she is so long, we've had to put away all newborn clothes and some 3 month clothes, but summer clothes have been more forgiving of this. Who am I kidding, she's in a onesie half of the time!
She is getting better at tummy time and also can lay on her playmat for 30 mins or so at a time if she's just recently eaten - this seems to be when she's most content.
Even though I didn't set out to follow this, she really does seem to follow the eat, play, sleep routine with predictability - which I love!
I head back to work in a few weeks and this week she will go to daycare for 3 days (1 hour, 2 hours, then 4 hours). This is more for Finley to adjust to her sister being there than anything else.
She's still got her pretty blue eyes!
