My mother's day this year was just perfect. Our little family started the morning out with a walk around the lake and stop at the park.
So blessed to be her mom!
And this little sleeper, too! Fist pump : )
I was so proud of her for conquering the big twisty slide!
We met up with the rest of my family at North Oaks for brunch. The food spread was great and Finley pigged out.
I sat next to my girls, one of which slept the majority of the meal! She was wearing an adorable dress, even though she wasn't out much to show it off.
I enjoyed a mimosa : )
The dessert buffet was amazing. I had chocolate dipped strawberries, mixed berry cheesecake, and flourless chocolate cake. Finley indulged a bit too!
Family picutre out on the course. I am realizing I need to be in more picutres with my girls, even when I'm not happy with how I look. Years down the road, they won't care. So girls, here's what your mom looked like 2 weeks after giving birth : )
Pat picked out this 2 peas in a pod necklace (it doesn't really glow) with 2 leaves each monogrammed with an "F". I love it! Finley picked out some purple flowers for my front planters and we also got a shelving unit for the basement play area. Nothing like organizing toys to make mama happy!
The rest of the day included a family nap! Much better than the year the breast pump broke (and yes, thanks to my mom we did tell that story at brunch with my sister's boyfriend)
