Time is seemingly flying by as I get towards the end of the second trimester. I keep wishing for spring and warmer weather (even though we still don't have more than an inch of snow!) but then I stop myself and realize spring means we'll have 2 kids - YIKES! This baby can take it's sweet time as we still have quite a large to-do list before her arrival. Pat's parents and sister, Anne, are both making separate trips up here in February and March and are always good at helping us get organized : )
Some notes on week 26:
-I feel way bigger this time around. I breezed right through the cute belly stage that I feel like lasted at least until 30 weeks last time around.
-Pants other than pajamas are so uncomfortable - this baby already feels really low
-I am generally sleeping pretty good, though still taking a little something to help me sleep.
-I am measuring right on track (per the 24 wk visit)
-I am having crazy braxton-hicks contractions. I remember this starting around 30ish weeks with Fin, but according to my doctor, the uterus is a lot more touchy in subsequent pregnancies. I literally get them if my pants are too tight (see above), I bend down, stand up, and while I'm driving. Good thing my job requires no movement and I don't still have to lift a toddler around (ha).
-I am craving sweet candy, which is unusual for me. I just discovered blender skittles today - life changing I tell you!
-It's getting way harder to carry Finley or chase her around
-We went to Toys/Babies R Us today and I browsed through the baby stuff and felt a little more anticipation for a newborn. Maybe this one will get to wear newborn sized clothes - they are so tiny!
-We tested out a double stroller brand - the Baby Jogger City Mini - any feedback is welcome.
-We have narrowed it down to 1 main name, with a few other potentials.
-This girl is a crazy mover, especially around 10pm.
-Up next, my glucose test and rhogam shot at the 28 week appt.
I've installed a baby ticker on the sidebar for two reasons: 1) in case anybody is wondering how far along we are. 2) so that I can remember how far along- if I don't have a doctors appointment I have a hard time remembering which week it is!
