A few Friday's ago, we took Finley on her first annual Field Trip Day (basically a day of fun exploring something new). She is finally getting old enough to enjoy it and for us to enjoy it with her.
The afternoon started at the Mall of America food court! Chipotle for mom and dad and cheerios for Fin :)
She was most interested in all of the people walking by!
Someday Finley, someday...
The main reason we went to MoA was for Underwater Adventures. They had a cool jelllyfish exhibit.
The room was dark and all of the jelllyfish were lit up by these colorful black lights. Finley just wanted to lick them - crazy girl!

The night ended with a family dinner at Ikea. I heard about a special they were having where kids eat free, so Fin had her first smorgasbord (penne + marinara, swedish meatballs + gravy, chicken strips). She sat in the highchair and ate food out of this ceramic bowl - what a big girl.
Before we left, we walked around and stopped in the kids play section where someone wanted to go up and down the slide
We jokingly grabbed these giant rats to take a picture to send to Grandma Zenz (since she gave Finley the other little mouse/rat that Finley loves) however Finley immediately began to cuddle with one of them, so for $2.99, Fin has her very own large rat. More on that on another post!
We can't wait for the next field trip - it was a blast.
