Pat and I received 4 tickets to the Bears vs Vikings game last Monday night. Of course, I was excited to go when it was in the dome, but then the dome collapsed and the game was moved outside. A few things conspired that encouraged me to attend: the temperature was 26 deg, Grandma and Grandpa watched Finley overnight!, we had friends come up from Chicago, and I figured it could be a once in a lifetime event.
6" of new snow made for a mess getting to the stadium, but it sure was pretty and only added to the experience.
I was the only one not in a Bears jersey
Waiting in line to get let into the stadium
Diehard Bears fans!
Good thing we were there 2 hours before the game started...we got to see the snow removal effort (sarcasm noted)
Fresh snow!
i was a temporary bears fan until the game started!
Vikings touchdown at the Bank! The Bears took charge after this :)
The rest of the night included 5 hot chocolates, 3 hot dogs, some peppermint schnapps, freezing rain, freezing face, 10+ hand warmers strategically placed, high fives with Bears fans, and me leaving after half-time.
It was pretty cool!
