After 34 years at KPMG, Grandpa Zenz retired at the end of October. I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't think it would ever happen :) Our family attended a celebration at his office during his last week.
Here he is, giving a farewell speech. Not long after, he took Finley up there with him!
No more downtown views.
We celebrated where we always celebrate Zenz family accomplishments - Pittsburgh Blue for steaks and red velvet cupcakes.
Congrats Dad/Grandpa. You provided a great life for us growing up, you worked hard and instilled a great work ethic into your daughters, yet you were always present in our lives!
You deserve a great retirement.
After 34 years of 70+ hour work weeks looking at audit papers, adding machines, and emails - he now gets to look at this. And of course he'll probably start doing some consulting once he gets bored!
